Asian market rocks...

Asian supermarkets are generally great for inexpensive produces and hard-to-find ethnic items. They are also great in showcasing what parts of animals that get thrown out by most American kitchens. We discovered one of the bigger Asian markets in Portland, Fubonn.
Chicken feet are considered familiar fair compared to some of the stuff we saw at the meat department. Here's a whole case of random animal parts that most Americans wouldn't even want to look at.

























Let's take a closer look.
There are at least 50 Chicken hearts in one package. Imagine 50 chicken trading their hearts for a mere $2.50 collectively. How sad!
I remember having these when I was in China last year. But they were “cleaned” up and deep fried. Upon first look, the cooked ones I had didn’t even look like anything. But you can certainly recognize these.
