Spring Restaurant- good and cheap eats

We were driving around, looking for a Korean grocery store called Pal Do World, and discovered that a different store called Gmart took its place. The store front listed "Filipino food" among other type of Asian foods. But they carry mostly Korean goods, we discovered after a quick scan of the store. It's a much small store compared to Uwajimaya.

On the second floor of the store sits a small Korean restaurant. We both look homogeneously Asian enough that  the lady started speaking Korean to us. We nodded and smiled back to her, and started chatting in English about photograph-based menu. Frankly that's the only way we know how to talk to each other.
As all Korean restaurants do, they start the meal with a few dishes of kim chi. The potato one was my favorite, immediately followed by the fish cakes. Jose loved the tiny dried fish.

We got three dishes, Dolsot bibimbap, steamed dumplings and a clear noodle dish. Being a Chinese, I can't help comparing all other dumplings to homemade dumplings I grew up with. So far nothing even comes close to what I am used to eat. But the bibimbap and the noodle dish were quite good.
